Electro-Hydraulic Systems Specialists
We provide both totally Hydraulic Drives and also AC inverter drive systems. Our speciality continues to include the provision of equipment to lay power and telecoms cables on the seabed. We endeavour to build equipment that is modular, easy to install and mobilise and also very simple to operate. We utilise the latest technologies, but always with reliability and ease of operation by relatively unskilled operators as an important factor on our design.
Lightweight mobile machine for the transfer of cable. The system includes variable speed and tension with display and recording of:-
• Distance – Tension – Speed.
• 0-120m/minute
• 0-1t tension
• PLC Control
This machine can operate as a single 6-Pair Linear Cable Engine or as two completely separate 3-Pair Linear Cable Engines. The system is supplied with two sets of control consoles, but when in 6-Pair configuration can operate from one console.
Completely self contained Hydraulic Drive Engine. Built as a self contained ‘plug and play unit’ with both local and remote control stations. All the standard features required for both transporting and laying of cables.

A tracked cable engine, capable of maximum tension of 20 Ton, with the following features:
• Proportionally controlled pick up and pay out;
• Proportional tension control;
• A maximum speed of 1500 m/hr;
• Capable of passing objects with diameters up to 400mm;
• Powered by a self contained powerpack;
• Controlled from a remote station;
• Cable distance, speed and tension displays are provided.
• To view the tracked engine in operation visit the video section.
Four self contained winches with 20t tension and 1200m of 28mm Wire. Each winch has the following Features.
• Constant Tension
• Band Brake Facility
• Level Wind.
• System can operate as a set or as individual winches
• Haggled Drive Motors.
Designed to operate with one of our umbilical winches. This A-Frame can be dismantled and transported in a single 20’ ISO container and can be reassemble ready for mobilisation in less than 8 hours.
The system is designed to launch and recover a seismic survey sled and has an integrated control system.
All of our systems utilise varying levels of system control and display. We endeavor to provide the level of control, operation and data recording to suit the customer and their application.
The combination of PLC, Inverter drives and various instrumentation enables us to match the level of automation to suit the application.
For controls to be ‘user friendly and safe is always the starting point for or Controls and Design Engineers.
